Our Children, Our Responsibility

Sexual Abuse

Our Children, Our Responsibility (OCOR) is a half-day workshop designed by Nunavummiut for Nunavummiut to open the dialogue around sexual abuse prevention. Filmed testimonials from child sexual abuse survivors, caregivers, law enforcement, and many others provide the core of the workshop, supplemeNted by the workbook. This workshop also provides information and strategies around disclosure and support of children after abuse has been disclosed. We recommend supplementing this training Trauma Informed Practice workshop and/or Inuit Cultural Competency training available through various agencies in Nunavut, including IIKELC.
