Healing Support Group Facilitator Training (HSGFT)is a two to three-day Nunavut-specific support group Facilitator Training designed to promote healing and enable local community adult professionals and paraprofessionals to facilitate group healing sessions. The HSGFT training was developed to build capacity within communities where individuals or organizations can host bereavement support groups in their own community. Participants will be given the practical skills and tools they need to coordinate and facilitate group healing sessions, as well as suggested access to potential sources of funding to support their group programming. The training includes mindfulness and self-care strategies to assist facilitators in maintaining their own wellness while providing this valuable community service. Must be 19 years to attend. Maximum of 12 participants per training session.
